Real Food for Life is a high impact comprehensive nutrition and fitness program that promotes optimal well-being, healthy weight and eating habits in a culturally specific context to reduce obesity, diabetes and other health disorders disproportionate in communities of color.
Designed by a professional chef, the program facilitates hands on training and experiences that improve diets and health indicators, transforms people’s relationship to food as a major source of health, enjoyment, and cultural affirmation, and trains residents to become educators in WORKS’ Promotoras program.
